Last weekend I was at a baskeball campus, and there was Pau GAsol, I spoke to him and we practied a lot our basketball technique. Pau Gasol is a very famous spanish basketball player, he plays with Lakers in the NBA. At the moment he's very happy, because last week he won a match aginst Rockets.



But he is also very sad, because he had a bad year, he lost almost of matches that he plays. But one the other side he's very happy, because he's very famous, he's in a lot of magazines and he's very rich.

He explanied that summer he's going to go to Hawaii.
After that he is going to prepare a new basketball mathc.

Good morning I'm Francesc and I'm 12 years old. Today I'm talking about Albert Einstein. First I'm going to do a little introduction, then I'm going talk about his early life, then I'm goig to talk about his adult life and finally I'm going to talk about his old age.

Albert Einstein (14 March 1879-18 April 1955) was jew and a theoretical phisicist and a philosoper. He recived the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.

Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Wütettemberg in the German Empire on 14 March 1879. His father was Hermann Einstein, and his mother was Pauline Einstein. From very small traball and was very intelligent. He was at a Catholic elementary school from the age of 5 until 10. Also, Einstein had early seech difficulties, but he was a top student in this school. At the age of 17 he gradued and his father approval to renunce his citizenship in the German Kingdom.

Einstein and Mileva Maric married in January 1903 and he had 2 children. First in 1904 their had Hans Albert Einstein an finally in 1910 their had Eduard. Maric and Einstein divorced on 14 February 1919, having lived apart for 5 years old. After graduating, Einstein spent almost of his tim frustrating to searching for a teatching post, but a former classmate's father helped him secure a job. Finally he gets a job in Federal Office with his friends.

In 1933, Einstein was compelled to emigrate to the USA due to the rise to power of the Nazis under Germany's new chancellor, Adolf Hitler. While visiting American universities in 1933, he discovered that the new German governmment passed a law barring jews, so he can't work in his office. But finally this law dissapeared, so he became an American citizen in 1940. On 17 April 1955, Albert Einstein experienced internal bledding wich had previously been reinforced, that was the cause of his death

My observation

-I use a Power point and I spent 3 minutes or more to talk -I look at the audience, but I move a little. I don't read, because I prepare a lot -I put the ideas in the correct order and ask all the questions -The informationd was good and detailed, but I think there were too much. -The grammar is correct. The vocabulary is normal, I repeat some words. I don't use the dictionary. -The pronunce wasn't very good, but I'm fluent, I don't speak with breaks or interruptions.

My classmates observation

Ferran Illa: He talked about Rafa Nadal. He do the oral presentation was good but he didn't use good the powerpoint. He spoke and pronunced good, but he didn't practise a lot.

Jordi Maries: He talked about Asterix and Obelix. He didn't use a powerpoint, but it was good, he spoke and pronunced good and practised a lot.

Júlia Masó: She talked about Gerard Piqué. She used a powerpoint. She did the presentation very short, but it was very good.

Andreu Mayolas: He talked about Fernando Torres. At the beginig he had a problem with his memory and powerpoint. He restarted and and was good. He spoke very fast, but he pronunced and practised a lot.

Ferran Veciana: He talked about Morth and Phill. He used a funny and interesting powerpoint. He spoke good, and he pronunced bad. Finally he had a problem with the presentation of the characters. He practise...

Ivet: She talked about Miley Cirus (Hannah Montana): She used a powerpoint with music. He practised a lot and he know a lot of things of this character.

Cèlia: She talked about The Simpsons. She didn't used a powerpoint. She read a lot of her paper and he didn't practised a lot.

Summary of unit 5 the natural world

Becky goes to Alex's house. They discuss their plans for a party they are going to in the afternoon. Then they go to the animal hospital and learn about different wild animals.

In the animals hospital you must be quiet.
You mustn't bother the animals.

They have fun to see the animals, and finally they go to the party.

A fact-file

Lions are a very large mammals. They usually live in Sub- Saharan Africa and in Asia with a critically endangered remnant population in Gir Forest National Park in India. They can live for 15 or 16 years (if he manages to avoid being ousted by other males.)

The lions are carnivore animals, they are very powerful and aggressive with the other animals. You can't buy a lion in a common pet shop. You can buy it in a special pet shop or in a black market.

Lions are majestic animals. They are the kings of the jungle, and they are big, interesting, powerful and aggressive animals.
I think nobody should have lions at home, because they are very dangerous and it can also remove their houses

Summary of unit 4 Life story

Alex is doing a project on the life of the famous writer J.R.R. Tolkien. Who writes all of the books of the Lord of the Rings.
First she goes to the video shop to see the film of the Lord of the Rings
Then she visits with Becky, her best friend, some important sites.
They visit all of the Tolkien houses and finally they visit the cementery. And there they see his grave.

Now some extra things about Tolkien:
- He stands for John Ronald Reuel
- He was an orphan by the age of twelve
- He fought in the First World War.
- The Lord of the Rings films took place in New Zealand.
- It took fourteen months to film the three films.

Summary of unit 3 A big adventure

Alex preparers a picnic. She makes tuna sandwiches, wich Steven doesn't like. Steven arrives, and they cycle to the river. Steven gets hungry, and they stop to eat by the river. Alex climbs a tree.

A book or film review

I saw a film called "Clash of the Titans. It was a fantasy film story, based on the Greed myth of Perseus whose father is Zeus, the king of gods.
The main character is Perseus, and the evil character of this film is Hades, the god of underworld and the brother of Zeus.

Perseus must save the world from Hades. With other warriors, Perseus goes into dark worlds to fight demons and monsters. For example he fights wit giant scorpions and also he fights with Medusa, wich as the power to make stone whoever looks at her eyes.
Finally he fights with Kraken, a wild beast, created by Hades to destory the world.

I liked this film because it was exciting (for the adventures.) Also has a very good graphics and special effects. I recommend this film to everyone, specially for the boys of my age.

Summary of unit 2 A day in our lives

Alex tells us about her daily routine. She has many concerns and should have a routine for each day.

I think the university is very difficult but you must do. So the best is take it easy

Summary of unit 1 Our town

Alex and Becky are in Oxford. Alex's cousin is visiting from London. The girls meet him at the bus station. They take Seteven round Oxford, but they seem more interested in the shops! Steven would prefer to go to a music shop but Becky buys a T-shirt in a clothes shop. Alex borrows 5 pounds from Steven to help pay for the T-shirt.

This fantasy film is based on the Greek myth of Perseus whose father is Zeus, king of the gods. Perseus must save the world from Hades, god of the underworld. With other warriors, Perseus goes into dark worlds to fight demons and monsters. Fans of Sam Worthington (Jake Sully in Avatar) will love him in this role!

A biography of a famous person

EICHIRO ODA

Eiichiro Oda is a Japanese manga artist, best know as the creator of the manga and anime One Piece. He was born in Kumamoto, Japan, in January 1975.

As a child, Oda was inspired by Adkira Toriyama's works and aspired to become a manga artist. At the age of 17, he submitted his first work "Wanted!" and won several awards, including second place in the coveted Tezuka Award. That got him into a job at the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. At the age of 19, he worked as an assistant. During this time, he drew two pirate-themed one-shot stories, called "Romance Dawn", ehich would debut in Monthly and Weedly Jump in late 1996-early 1997. "Romance3 Dawn" featured Monkey D. Luffy as the protagonist, who then became the protagonist of One Piece, his best work.

In 1997, One Piece appeared for the first time in Weekly Shonen Jump and promptly became on ef the most popular manga in Japan. His biffest influence is Akira Toriyama, who is the creator of Dragon Ball.

Now Oda is married to Chiaki Inaba, who had played the One Piece character Nami during Jump Festa One Piece stage performances. They have two children.
He likes writing comics and inventing stories.

Our favourite is coming back! Johnny Depp will play Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film. Keira Knightley, who played Elizabeth Swann, will probably not be in the fourth film."Those films were just extraordinary. But I think my pirate days are over, "she says. But you will have to wait to see the film. It is planned for 2011.

A letter from a desert island

My name is Francesc Rigau and I'm writing this letter from an island near Greece. My brother Joan and my parents are here too. We are lost in a very big jungle and we can't escape.

At the moment life is interesting after 3 days an this very big island. We haven't got any games, T.V or computer and we can't see our friends either. Every day we go to the jungle to find food, rest near a fire on the beach and look for boats.

We can not survive longer here. It's very cold and cloudy. There isn't much food. We sometimes eat monkey meat. We eat fish and shellfish too, but they're horrible.

An e-mail about holiday

Hi, Alex,
I'm on holiday here in New York with my mum, dad, brother and my friends Ferran, Jordi, Adam... The weather isn't bad, but every day it's cloudy, so we often go to the cinema and watch very interesting films.
At he moment I'm eating a hamburger in a restaurant with my brother Joan we're drinking coke and orange juice. We really like it, so we often come here. In the evenings I go to the Internet cafes with my friends.
Tomorrow we're going to the Statue of Liberty. It's a very interesting statue. I hope you're having a good time

If you like action films, then go and see 12 Rounds. One year ago, Detective Danny Fisher stopped a thief, but the thief's girlfriend was accidentally killed. The thief escapes from prision and he wants reveng. He starts by kidnapping Danny's fiancée. Can Danny save her?

My friend

My friend's name is Ferran. He's twelve and he lives near my house. He lives in Banyoles. He lives with his family in a big house.
Ferran is a good friend, although, he is sometimes a little annoying. I like him because he's funny and friendly. Sometimes we desagree, because he likes the tuna and steaks... and I hate it.
Very often I go to Ferran's house or he comes to my house. We sometimes do homework together, and play consoles (computer, play station, wii...). I like going activities with him. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday.

My favourite day at school

At my super-school there are three classes every day. First lesson is at 10 o'clock, second lesson is at eleven o'clock and third lesson is at twelve o'clock. Classes start at ten and finish at one.
We don't go to school on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In my super-school we haven't got a school uniform.
Today we've got P.E and I like because the teacher is Pau Gasol, also we've got Science, and Tecnology, I like this subjects because we do lots of experiments. In my super-school we don't do homework an we don't study.
I like this school because the teachers are nice and friendly and we never have exams and also there aren't obligatory subjects.

A day in my life

Hi, my name is Francesc. I live in Banyoles, in Spain.
I get up at 8 o'clock in the morning. Then I wash my face. I have a breakfast with my family, then I get dressed.
I start school at 9 o'clock. I go to school by bike. We finish school at half past one, then I have lunch at home with my family.
At 3 o'clock I start school again and it usually finishes at 5.
Then I do an activity and go home. At home have a shower, I do my homework and have dinner with my family.
I usually go to bed at 11 o'clock.

A brochure of my town

Banyoles is a city in the north of Catalonia in Spain. It's a small village, but it is friendly and very interesting. My favourite places are the lake, the museum and the main square. I don't like the center of the city because it is noisy.

Banyoles has got lots of cafés, restaurants and bars, they are very good, but there aren't shopping centre or cinema.

There are some interesting cities like Girona and Olot near here.
